The National Geographic Channel is the channel to watch
This guest post from Hong AlexanderWhen most people thing of National Geographic, they may think of the old magazines with giraffes on them or the magazines that you were made to read in school. I am here to say, that was then. The National Geographic Channel has to be one of the best educational and entertaining channels I have ever had the pleasure to watch. There is always something good on.
I like to snuggle up on my couch with a nice, cozy blanket and watch National Geographic on satellite tv, which I got through some great direct tv packages in Mississippi. They have shows on that hunt for Somali Pirates, shows on recent disasters like Hurricane Katrina, devastating shows on earthquakes, and so much more. Yes you will get the occasional fish program or monkeys running wild in India but most of the programming really opens up your eyes to what is going on in the world. Actually the program about the monkeys running wild in India was pretty funny! Imagine walking down the street and seeing a bunch of monkeys trying to steal bananas out of the local markets!
If you want a great educational experience, The National Geographic Channel has my vote. I give it two thumbs up. If you have a book report that is due or just want to learn something new, tune in and see what's going on. You'll be pleasantly surprised!
Excited!
Today, I will be working until 2:00pm and hopefully I will survive. Then After 3:00pm we will be going to doctor's appointment. And guess what, we are going to see the baby for my second ultra sound. I just can't help but super excited. Then 4 more weeks, we will know the gender... Isn't it very exciting!! Well, Larry wanted a boy and I really like a girl, but lately, I told myself that I don't care about it anymore. As long as the baby is healthy.That it matters most!!

Ordinary Adults
There was a line in a movie I happened to see a few minutes of yesterday, I don't even know what the movie was but this line stuck in my head.
The actress said to the actor about his kid "I am sure he is so special, just like everyone else's kid. What I would like to know is...if everyone's kids are so special, where do all of these ordinary adults come from?" I am paraphrasing but you get the idea.
At first I thought, clever and funny, that's so true. Then I thought, its true and its sad. Then, I wondered...and here is my answer.

Recycle and Save!
Technology has improved so much today and really brought a revolution in all our lives. But at the same time it has also brought around its side-effects. Today, there are electronic equipments being manufactured at an unbelievable rate to satisfy the industrial demands and make money. But in this run for money, we have so much of scrap metal being produced which is so very harmful!
Right from TVs to refrigerators and our computers, so much of metal goes into production but we never think of its side effects. The scrap generated out of this process is becoming totally unmanageable. Its high time we started caring for our environment and started using eco friendly products.
